Vicky Aguirre was born in Buenos Aires in 1954. She has been active in the world of photography since the early 1980s, when she graduated from the Photographic Art Superior Institute run by Pedro Luis Raota.

Aguirre has contributed to various print media such as Polo Internacional, the international edition of Intramuros, Planeta Urbano magazine and Jorge Tarditti´s G magazine in Argentina.

She has exhibited in solo and group shows both in Argentina and Uruguay and has received numerous awards, such as the Swissair grand prize at the Photokina fair in Germany.

Between 2015 and 2019 she was Photography Director of CC magazine, published by the Kirchner Cultural Center in Buenos Aires.
